North East Sports Academy

There’s never been a better time to get involved in sport at TyneMet. Playing an active part in all NESA has to offer will impact positively on your studies and your health, and will be of huge benefit as you progress into adult life.

  • Strength and conditioning programmes led by professional S&C coaches

  • Access to a fully-qualified physiotherapist
  • Subsidised coaching and officiating qualifications
  • Coaching and leadership opportunities in sport

You will be working with some of the best and most respected coaches in the region to help develop your sporting talent.

All NESA programmes are devised to give elite sports people the maximum advantage. However, there’s also a strong focus on developing sports performers of all abilities.

The NESA approach affords students the full support of their coaches as they aim for outstanding grades in their chosen courses. Students studying any course from the TyneMet prospectus can access the services of the North East Sports Academy.

NESA is committed to offering students a range of recreational opportunities across a range of sports from Dodgeball to Dance. Students, Staff and Community are also welcome to join the Flex Fitness Gym and take advantage of the competitive and discounted membership rates.
