Part-time Courses

We offer a wide variety of part-time courses to help you to enhance your CV, progress in your career or simply try out a new hobby.

With various start dates across the year you can start immediately or book your space for later.

Studying part-time at TyneMet College means that you can take advantage of our excellent facilities including: a well-stocked library, IT workshop, free wifi across the campus, a gym, cafés, a restaurant, hair and beauty salon and a floristry shop. You will also gain from all of our student support services which range from tutorial support to help with child care and course fees.

Access to Higher Education is a 60 credit programme providing appropriate preparation and a recognised qualification for progression to Higher Education for those who have the ability to study at this higher level, but who left school with few (or none) of the usual entry qualifications.

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young people's lives. The Prince's Trust Team at TyneMet College gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation.

We work with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

The Team Programme is a 12-week personal development course, offering work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week.

Courses start in September, January and April and you can enrol at any point during the year to secure your place.
