Working Life and Skills
We have students of all ages studying everything from hairdressing and floristry, through to engineering and money management. Some enrol to improve the skills they can offer employers, gaining certificates in subjects like customer services, beauty therapy and horticulture. Others do courses just for fun, to explore their creativity or to make new friends.
Our ESOL and Skills for Life courses can equip you with language, literacy and numeracy skills that are stepping stones to better employment opportunities. it's all about gaining practical abilities in a friendly, flexible environment - increase your confidence and improve your everyday life. The Working Life and Skills directorate also runs courses in partnership with employers, creating specially designed programmes to meet the training needs of their workforces.
